CAMRIS International is seeking a Research Assistant (Department: Military Psychiatry Branch, West Detachment – JBLM) for an upcoming contract to provide basic and applied research support to the Center for Military Psychiatry and Neuroscience (CMPNS) at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR).
Note: This position is contingent on contract award.
Responsibilities
  • Participates in research and development activities.
  • Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data.
  • Writes technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.


Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's in behavioral science is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Must be proficient with or willing to learn Statistical Programming for the Social Sciences (SPSS) programming for data manipulation and statistical analyses as well as Remark Office Software for both the creation of surveys and the scanning of surveys.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Prior experience with WRAIR is highly desirable.
