Position Description
|

The Research Administrative Operations (RAO) Floater position will provide the successful candidate with exposure to a wide variety of short and long term assignments supporting RAND staff across the organization, both research, support and corporate. The position requires a team player who is flexible, able to swiftly change pace, adapt to changing priorities and can juggle a varied work mix while working under minimal supervision. The position requires a strong technical skillset as s/he will be expected to serve as a technical resource within RAO.
The RAO floater will be expected to exercise tact, courtesy, and initiative in working with all levels of indivduals within and outside of RAND. Key to successfully filling the role is a strong sense of discretion, the ability to maintain confidential as well as the ability to exercise sound judgement in all situations. In addition, strong organizational skills are required as well as a demonstrated initiative in developing solutions to meet complex administrative/technical needs of work group. Maintaining a sense of calm in a fast-paced work environment is essential.

Experience
|
|
Strong oral and written communications as well as advanced knowledge of MAC and/or PC platforms.
A transferrable security clearance is desireable.
Minimum experience: 5 years. Preferred: 6-8 years..
